Community Guidelines

1. Be Respectful

Treat other users with kindness, honesty, and respect.

Do not harass, insult, threaten, shame, bully, or pressure other users.

Respect people’s boundaries. If someone does not want to continue a conversation, do not repeatedly contact them.

2. Be Authentic

Use accurate and honest information on your profile.

Do not:

• Pretend to be someone else.
• Use fake identities.
• Use misleading photos.
• Create accounts for impersonation.
• Misrepresent your age, identity, or intentions.

3. No Harassment or Abuse

Knotly does not allow:

• Bullying.
• Threats.
• Hate speech.
• Intimidation.
• Repeated unwanted messages.
• Stalking or obsessive behaviour.
• Sharing private information about another person without permission.

4. No Hate Speech or Discrimination

Do not attack, demean, or exclude people based on characteristics such as race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or identity.

Respect all users equally.

5. No Sexual Harassment or Exploitation

Do not send unwanted sexual messages, images, or requests.

Do not pressure others into sexual conversation, meetings, images, or activity.

Knotly does not allow sexual exploitation, abuse, trafficking, or any content involving minors.

6. No Violence or Threats

Do not post or send content that promotes, threatens, or encourages violence, self-harm, abuse, or dangerous behaviour.

If there is an immediate danger or emergency, contact local emergency services.

7. Keep Conversations Safe

Do not share another person’s private information, including:

• Address.
• Phone number.
• Email address.
• Workplace.
• Financial information.
• Private photos or messages.

Do not screenshot, publish, or distribute private conversations without consent.

8. No Scams, Spam, or Fraud

Knotly does not allow:

• Fake promotions.
• Investment scams.
• Requests for money.
• Phishing links.
• Spam messages.
• Bots or automated messaging.
• Attempts to steal accounts or personal information.

Never send money to someone you have only met through the app.

9. No Illegal Activity

Do not use Knotly to promote, arrange, or participate in illegal activity.

This includes fraud, violence, drugs, exploitation, harassment, or any activity that breaks applicable laws.

10. Profile Photo and Content Rules

Your photos and profile content should be appropriate and respectful.

Do not upload:

• Nude or sexually explicit images.
• Violent or graphic content.
• Hate symbols.
• Content involving minors in an unsafe or inappropriate context.
• Photos of someone else without permission.
• Misleading or stolen images.

11. Meeting in Person

If you choose to meet someone in person:

• Meet in a public place.
• Tell a trusted friend or family member.
• Arrange your own transport.
• Trust your instincts.
• Leave if you feel unsafe.

Knotly does not conduct background checks on users.

12. Reporting and Blocking

If another user makes you uncomfortable or violates these guidelines, you should stop communicating with them and use any available report or block features.

13. Enforcement

Knotly may take action if users break these guidelines, including:

• Removing content.
• Restricting features.
• Suspending or deleting accounts.
• Preventing future account creation.
• Reporting serious safety issues to relevant authorities where required.

We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time. Continued use of Knotly means you agree to follow the updated guidelines.
